A good scarce pre 1908 OR’s blanket lined example of scarlet cloth with yellow facings to the collar and cuffs and yellow shoulder straps. The collar, ornamented with white cord along the base, retains facing fair of white metal collar badges viz. within a wreath, elephant with howdah and “Fortitudo et fidelitas” scroll. The front, cuffs and skirts edged with quarter inch white cloth. Each gauntlet cuff bears three white cord loops terminating with a button; this design is repeated on the Inverness skirts.
