Deactivated Weapons - Change in the Law

As from the beginning of May, a new law came into effect which requires all deactivated weapons to be re-certified to the new European Specification.  It is now a criminal offence to sell, transfer or gift any firearm not deactivated to the current Home Office deactivation specifications.
If you own or have inherited a collection of such guns, this can be a great worry. Marlows are the first UK Specialist Auction House to address the situation by introducing a worry free solution.
If you wish to sell any deactivated weapons by auction though Marlow's, we offer convenient and cost effective service.

When they are consigned, Marlow's will take them for re-deactivation for free, present them to the Proof House for free and obtain the new legal certificate (cost to you £75). When a substantual number of guns are consigned, we more often than not can collect them, depending on location.
